Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, Coiba Marine Park is a marine reserve located off of Panama’s Pacific coast. Once a penal colony, access to the island was historically limited, allowing much of the area’s natural resources to survive untouched.

Triton Bay is one of three regions that comprise the Bird’s Head Seascape which is now considered by marine biologists to be the epicenter of the Coral Triangle and which contains more fish and coral species than anywhere else on the planet.
