Here is the Avalon:

I have visited the boat and Captain and it looks like a wonderful place to call home for a week. Captain/Owner Ray and the Avalon have been sailing and diving the Bahamas for 20 years with many regulars who return year after year.
It is comfortable, and compact.
his magical trip is aboard the Avalon; a 65ft Ketch and would take us from Nassau to do some great diving East and South in the Bahamas. This is a totally different route than the Juliet travels.
Food & Meals
Three delicious meals and alcohol are included.
Sample menu is at the bottom of this page:
The Cabins
Each has a sink and there are two bathrooms and showers to share below deck. There are nice cushioned and shaded lounging areas on top.
Please note that the cabins are small and without portholes.
The diving possibilities are spectacular:

We can visit the Blue Hole with Silky sharks, make our way East to the Exumas and Eleuthera for caves, wrecks, sharks a plenty, nudibranchs, swim throughs, walls and also great fishing, for those inclined! There will be 3-5 dives a day, including night dives. There is a divemaster in the water for each dive for those who want that. There is no nitrox on board.
SOLD OUT!
Conservation
We can hunt (and eat) Lion fish and use our new laser measuring tool to collect shark data for international research.
Diving in the Bahamas is spectacular. From drift diving to current-free diving, warm water, an abundance of sharks, turtles, walls, wrecks and beautiful coral, it all can be found in the Bahamas!
The Bahamas are known for endless visibility, because of the white sands and bright sun. We will dive close to the nutrient-rich currents of the Gulf Stream that help to feed and to maintain the coral reef health. These reefs are some of the most resilient—with fast recovery from storms, and the ability to survive a wide range of environmental conditions. The coral reefs provide beautiful, safe shelters for a huge diversity of fish.
On the edge of the Gulf Stream are beautiful awe-inspiring walls, some starting at only 35 feet (11 meters), and offering dramatic drift dives when the current is running.
