Glacier-covered peaks dissolve into alpine meadows, which, in turn, contrast the formidable mass of verdant rainforests and darker gorges that cover the slopes of this volcano. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is an unforgettable experience. Here, trekkers enjoy the wonders of African nature through varying climatic zones and the experience culminates as the morning sun gleams off the snow-covered glaciers at the summit of the highest point of the African continent.

It is important to highlight at the outset that this trek is a serious undertaking and while the route we have selected has over a 95% success rate of reaching the summit, we will be screening those eager to join to ensure this is the right fit for you.

We have chosen an exceptional partner with an unparalleled safety, ethics and success record:
Altezza Travel. They are rated #1 on TripAdvisor and pride themselves on having highly certified guides, trained in first aid and rescue, with bottled oxygen and high quality nutritious food to keep you energized throughout the adventure. They are committed to uncompromising safety and fair and respectful treatment of their crew, which enables them to provide us with top guides and chefs to ensure safe and memorable expeditions!

We have chosen the 8 day Lemosho route.  Lemosho is an absolutely spectacular route suitable even for beginning mountaineers. It starts with a drop-off by off-road vehicles in the alpine zone at 3,500 meters, 11,500 feet, where the trek will begin. Two very short treks on Day 1 and Day 2 involve relatively little physical activity and you barely trek uphill, which allows you to spare resources. On Lemosho you'll see breathtaking views from Lava Tower, Barranco Camp and Karanga Camp.

People of all ages can successfully  achieve the summit. Are you one of them?

M
ount Kilimanjaro - the highest free-standing mountain in the world - has been enticing adventure-seekers for over a century.

THE ADVENTURE

Lemosho route

Featuring captivating scenic vistas, pristine wildlife, excellent acclimatization opportunities and low traffic of climbers, Lemosho is our personal first favorite for reaching the roof of Africa. After a 4-hour long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate you'll find yourself on the western slope of Mt Kilimanjaro, from there the route will take you to the world-famous Shira Plateau. That's where you'll embark on your adventure through all climate zones - from alpine meadows to eternal ice.

The climb is smooth and gradual, featuring the highest success rate of all routes on Kilimanjaro. You’ll be transferred to the elevation of 3,500 m/ 11,500 f by an off-road vehicle and start the hike from there. This is meant to maximize acclimatization transition - the higher you start, the easier your adaptation will be.

We will have trained guides and porters throughout the climb with a one to one ratio on summit night. We aim to arrive at the summit for sunrise!

All you are required to carry is your jacket, water and anything you want to have while you hike.
